Planning a trip to Wuzhen from Shanghai, Hangzhou, or Suzhou? Be aware: Wuzhen has no direct trains – you’ll need to transfer from nearby stations (Huzhou Nanxun or Tongxiang). Limited English signage, complex ticket systems (different prices/hours for Dongzha/Xizha), and navigation challenges in canal-laced lanes can make independent travel stressful.
